Coming soon: International Conference "Health Behaviors in Modern Society"

The workshop brings together scientists and practitioners interested in the issue of health behaviors shaped by social conditions in different cultures. The goal of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for participants to exchange concerns, ideas, and research experiences on health from various fields such as psychology, social sciences, and medicine; to encourage international collaboration; and to facilitate the initiation of new research directions in this field.

* LOCATION: Room 304, Building E, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
* TIME: Two days, November 1-2, 2019. Opening ceremony: 8:00 AM on November 1, 2019.

There were 3 symposia:

  • Topic 1: Health behaviors in the community.
  • Topic 2: Healthy Behavior in the Workplace and Organizations.
  • Topic 3: Mental health support and care.

The conference organizing committee includes members from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi (Vietnam), the Institute of Psychology, University of Gdansk (Poland), and the National Institute of Mental Health (Vietnam). The scientific panel comprises international scientists from various universities in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Delegates will participate in a social activity including a day trip to Mai Huong Psychiatric Hospital and Thanh Chuong Palace (Soc Son, Hanoi). Furthermore, after the conference, there may be a day trip to Ha Long Bay – a World Heritage site in the Gulf of Tonkin.

  • Pro-health resources in human body and mind
  • Lifestyle and health
  • Pro-healthy physical activity
  • Health and promoting healthy behaviors in life.
  • Methodological aspects of health psychology
  • Promoting health-beneficial behaviors for Agent Orange victims and veterans.
  • Health behaviors after natural disasters
  • Health behaviors in the workplace
  • Health behaviors in vulnerable groups (Women/children who are victims of human trafficking, the elderly, people with disabilities, substance users, people with HIV/AIDS, etc.)
  • Health behaviors in healthcare settings
  • Aspects of health behavior in Eastern philosophy
  • Health behaviors, customs, and spiritual life
  • Communication and public health
