Announcement of enrollment for the class "Journalism and Communication"

Institute of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities is enrolling for the short-term course "Journalism and Communication Profession".

Most recent course started: November 2019.

1. Course objectives

- Students studying or have graduated from University or College, want to work in the field of journalism and media

- People who are working in the field of journalism and media but do not have a degree in the correct major, need to supplement their professional certificate to complete their application for recruitment/promotion to civil servant positions

- All people interested in and love the field of journalism and media

2. Training program

- Provide a system of basic knowledge about modern journalism and media

- Practice working skills in the field of journalism: searching for topics, interviewing, processing information, organizing works, editing skills...

- Work on basic journalistic genres: news, interviews, reports

- Building multimedia journalism works

-70% of the practice time is guided by lecturers from the Institute of Journalism and Communication, experienced journalists and reporters. Practical experience at newspaper offices.

- At the end of the course, students can work to publish journalistic works on demand in the fields of print and electronic newspapers.

3. Certificate

- Vietnamese - English certificate issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, meeting the requirements for the title of reporter and editor of Circular 11/2016 /TTLT - Ministry of Information and Communications - Ministry of Home Affairs

4. Study time: 8 weeks

- Weekday classes: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday

- Weekend class: 8:00 - 17:00 every Saturday
