I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, CONDITIONS, AND ADMISSION QUOTAS

1.1. Eligibility and application requirements

Junior high school (THCS) graduates nationwide in 2021 must meet the following requirements:

- Students in lower secondary school must have a conduct and academic performance rating of "Good" or higher for the entire school year;

- Graduated from junior high school with a GPA of "Good" or higher.

(The school will check the academic transcript when the admitted student completes the enrollment procedures.)

II. ADMISSION TO SPECIALIZED CLASSES

2.1. Application documents for the exam

Each candidate may register to take the entrance exam for a maximum of two out of three specialized classes (Literature, History, Geography), in order of priority. The application dossier includes:

(1)Exam registration formCandidates should download and print 3 copies of the form. according to the templateHERE);

(2)A photocopy of the birth certificate (no notarization required);

(3)Two 4x6 cm photos with full name and date of birth clearly written on the back.not including photos affixed to other documents in the file..

Note:Candidates do not need to purchase a file folder; the school will provide one (according to the school's design) when candidates submit their application for the entrance exam.

2.2. Admission Fees

Application and examination fee: 400,000 VND/application (paid once with the application, non-refundable if the candidate withdraws from the exam). If a candidate registers for more than one nguyện vọng (preference), an additional 50,000 VND/preference will be charged.

2.3. Receiving application forms for the exam

- Application submission period: From April 5, 2021 to April 23, 2021(During business hours on weekdays, excluding holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays).

- Application submission location: Training Department, Room 609, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.

2.4. View competition information

From May 10, 2021:Candidates can view their registration number, examination room, examination location, and examination room regulations on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The university will not send examination notices to candidates.

2.5. Receiving corrections and adjustments to exam application information.

2.6. Examination subjects and format

- Exam subjects:Candidates must take four written exams: Literature, Mathematics, English, and a specialized subject (Literature, History, or Geography).

- Exam format:The exam is structured in essay format for Literature, Mathematics, and specialized subjects, and multiple-choice for English.(Candidates should review the structure of the 10th grade entrance exam.)Specialized High School for Social Sciences and HumanitiesIn 2021, on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities..

- Exam duration:The time allotted for the Literature exam is 120 minutes, for Mathematics it is 90 minutes, for English it is 60 minutes, and for the specialized subject it is 150 minutes.

- Exam scoring scale:The exam score is calculated on a 10-point scale.

- Candidates included in the selection list must have taken all four exams and not violated any exam regulations. The score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the score for the specialized subject must be 6.0 or higher.

- Admission is based on the principle of selecting candidates with the highest total scores in descending order until all quotas for each specialized class are filled. The admission score is the sum of the scores of all exam subjects on a 10-point scale, with the specialized subject score multiplied by a factor of 2, and rounded to two decimal places.

- No bonus points will be awarded in the admissions process.

2.9. Announcement of exam results

Before 5:00 PM, June 30, 2021:The exam results will be published on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

III. ADMISSION TO HIGH-QUALITY CLASSES

3.1. Eligibility and application requirements

Candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the high-quality class at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2021 if they meet the following conditions:

a) Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements in Section I and participated in the 2021 entrance examination for specialized classes at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities but were not admitted to the specialized program, and whose scores in each subject (including the specialized subject in their first choice) are 4.0 or higher.

b) Candidates who have submitted applications for admission to the high-quality class at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2021.

3.2. Selection Criteria

- The total admission score is the sum of the scores of three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and English. Candidates will be selected based on their total scores from highest to lowest until the quota is filled.

- The time and location for issuing and receiving application forms for admission to the high-quality 10th grade program, the admission results, etc., will be announced on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities before June 30, 2021.
