I. METHODS OF ADMISSION
- General requirements:Candidates have graduated from high school or equivalent, and are healthy enough to study according to current regulations.
1. Admission method 1: Direct admission and priority admission (see detailed announcement and registration instructions)HERE)
1.1. Group 1: Direct admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training
a)Hero of Labor, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, National Emulation Fighter.
b)Candidates are official members of national teams participating in international Olympics or international science and technology competitions.
c)Candidates won first, second and third prizes in the national excellent student selection exam; National science and technology competition.
d)Candidates with severe disabilities must have a certificate of disability issued by a competent authority as prescribed.
e)Candidates must have permanent residence for 3 years or more, studied for 3 years and graduated from high school in poor districts (must take 1 year of additional study before officially entering school).
g)Candidates are foreigners who need to apply for university admission at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU.
1.2. Group 2: Direct admission according to the specific regulations of Hanoi National University
1.2.1Specialized students of specialized high schools across the country have good conduct in 3 years of high school and meetonein the following criteria:
a)Is an official member of the team participating in the Olympic or International Science and Technology Competition;
b)Won an official prize in the exam to select excellent high school students at VNU;
c)Won an official prize in the annual High School Natural Science Olympiad;
d)Be an official member of the team participating in the national excellent student selection exam or national science and technology competition;
e)Have an average learning score of each semester in 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) of 8.0 or higher and an average learning score of 3 subjects in the admission combination in 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) of 8.0 or higher and have high school graduation exam results in 2021 that meet the input quality assurance threshold of the registered major.
1.2.2Non-specialized students of high schools under VNU have good conduct in 3 years of high school and meet the requirements.onein the following criteria:
a)Won an official prize in the exam to select excellent high school students at VNU;
b)Won an official prize in the annual High School Natural Science Olympiad;
c)Have an average learning score of each semester in 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) of 8.0 or higher and an average learning score of 3 subjects in the admission combination of each semester in 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) of 8.5 or higher and have high school graduation exam results in 2021 that meet the input quality assurance threshold of the registered major.
1.2.3High school students nationwide have good conduct for 3 years of high school and meet one of the following criteria:
a)Being a member participating in the monthly contest of the program "Road to Olympia" organized annually by Vietnam Television and having an average score of 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) of 8.0 or higher and having the results of the 2021 high school graduation exam that meets the input quality assurance threshold of the registered industry.
b)Won first, second, and third prizes in the provincial/municipal excellent student competition and the average learning score of each semester in 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) is 8.0 or higher and has the high school graduation exam results in 2021 reaching the threshold to ensure the input quality of the registered major.
1.3. Group 3: Priority admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training:Candidates who won consolation prizes in the national excellent student exam or fourth prizes in the national science and technology competition, have subjects or topics suitable for the subjects in the admission groups of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and meet the input quality assurance threshold of the admission industry in the year.
2. Admission method 2: Admission based on 2021 high school graduation exam results- Consider candidates whose 2021 high school graduation exam results meet the input quality assurance threshold of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- Candidates can register for an unlimited number of wishes, schools/majors and must arrange their wishes in order of priority from highest to lowest (wish 1 is the highest wish).
- Candidates are considered equally based on exam results, regardless of the priority order of their registered wishes, but each candidate is only admitted to the highest priority wish in the list of registered wishes.
- The admission score is determined by each combination of exams/subjects. The admission score of each combination is the total score of the exams/subjects on a 10-point scale plus priority points for subjects and regions (if any).
- Candidates applying for admission based on the results of the 2021 high school graduation exam must register their admission wishes together with the high school graduation exam registration according to the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Note: In the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, for admission combinations with foreign languages, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities only uses the exam scores in the 2021 high school graduation exam, not using the results of foreign language exemption according to the regulations in the Regulations on consideration and recognition of high school graduation of the Ministry of Education and Training.
3. Admission method 3: Consider candidates with competency assessment test results, international A-level certificates, SAT, ACT and international foreign language certificates (See detailed notice and registration instructions HERE)
3.1.Subject 1:Candidates whose results of the 2021 high school student assessment exam organized by Hanoi National University meet the input quality assurance threshold prescribed by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
3.2.Subject 2:Candidates with an international A-Level certificate, in the combination of 3 exam results, there is at least one of the two subjects Math or Literature and the score for each exam is 60/100 points or higher (equivalent to a C grade, PUM range ≥ 60).
3.3. Subject 3:Candidates with SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) scores of 1100/1600 or higher.
3.4. Subject 4:Candidates with ACT (American College Testing) standardized test scores of 22/36 or higher.
3.5. Subject 5:Candidates with an IELTS English certificate of 5.5 or higher or a TOEFL iBT certificate of 65 or higher or other equivalent international language certificates and a total score of at least 12 points in the remaining 2 subjects in the admission combination in the 2021 high school graduation exam.

III. SOME OTHER NOTES
1. With Oriental Studies:The Oriental Studies program includes three majors: Indian Studies, Thai Studies, and Chinese Studies. After the first semester, the Faculty of Oriental Studies will assign majors to first-year Oriental Studies students based on their wishes and first-semester academic performance.
2. Training two training programs at the same time (dual degree):After completing the first year, full-time students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have the opportunity to study a second major in one of the following majors:
- Journalism, Management Science, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Office Management, International Studies and Psychology of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- English Language, Korean Language, Japanese Language, Chinese Language Department of University of Foreign Languages.
- Faculty of Law, Hanoi National University.
Students who complete both programs will receive two regular bachelor's degrees.
3. Information on tuition fees for the 2021-2022 school year(See detailsHERE):
- Standard training programs (except Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management):980,000 VND/month (9,800,000 VND/year), equivalent to 260,000 VND/credit.
- Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management: 1,170,000 VND/month (11,700,000 VND/year), equivalent to 260,000 VND/credit.
- High quality training programs (tuition fees corresponding to training quality):3,500,000 VND/month (35,000,000 VND/year).
