I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, CONDITIONS, AND ADMISSION QUOTAS
1.1. Eligible participants
- Junior high school (THCS) students graduating in 2024 nationwide who have a good conduct rating for all four years of junior high school.
- Candidates must achieve an average score of 7.0 or higher in Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language for each of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, and an average score of 7.0 or higher in Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language for the first semester of the 9th grade, according to the general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.
Exceptional cases will be considered and decided by the Admissions Committee.
(The school will check the academic transcript when the admitted student completes the enrollment procedures.)
*Note: Each candidate is only allowed to register for one specialized class.
1.2. Conditions, methods, and principles of selection
*Admission requirements
- Meets the conditions specified in section 1.1
- The score in the specialized subject exam must be 6.00 or higher.
- No violations of exam regulations resulting in suspension from the exam or higher.
* Admission methods and principles
- Ensuring accuracy, fairness, and objectivity.
- Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements and admission criteria.
- Students will be ranked by their scores in each specialized subject from highest to lowest until all the slots for each specialized class are filled, using a 10-point scale.
- No bonus points will be awarded in the admissions process.
- Supplementary criteria: In cases where multiple candidates have the same score at the end of the list, priority will be given to admission based on the following criteria in order:
1) Winning an award in the provincial/city-level junior high school student excellence competition in the subject the candidate specialized in (if there are multiple award-winning candidates at the bottom of the list, the award will be considered from highest to lowest).
2) Possess an international English certificate that is valid for at least two years from the application deadline. Minimum scores are required: IELTS Academic (4.5), TOEFL ITP (460), and TOEFL iBT (45). Scores are ranked from highest to lowest.
Reference table for equivalent conversion rates of some international English certificates.
3) The average annual score in Foreign Language subjects for grades 6, 7, and 8, and the average score for the first semester of grade 9, are ranked from highest to lowest.
1.3. Admission quotas  
II. ADMISSION TO SPECIALIZED CLASSES
2.1. Application documents for the exam
- Each candidate may register to take the entrance exam for one of three specialized classes (Literature, History, or Geography). The application dossier includes:
+ Exam registration form (Fill in the information according to the online application form).
+ A copy of the birth certificate (soft copy in .pdf or .jpg format);
+ A 4x6 size portrait photo (soft copy in .jpg format) (photos must be taken no more than 6 months ago, be the correct size, and be clear).
2.2. Admission Fees
Registration and examination fee: 450,000 VND/application (paid online according to the instructions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the registration fee is non-refundable if you withdraw from the exam).
2.3. Receiving application forms for the exam
The application form for the exam is completed and submitted online.from April 15, 2024 to May 8, 2024(The admissions committee does not accept applications submitted in person). The school will provide specific announcements and registration instructions via its website.http://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vn.
After completing the application process, candidates will download the Examination Registration Form, attach a photo to the form, and obtain confirmation from their current junior high school. The completed Examination Registration Form must be brought to the examination room on the day of the exam.
2.4. View competition information
To provide candidates with more information regarding their application process, the University publishes the list of candidates who have successfully registered for the exam (having submitted all necessary documents and exam fees) on the University of Social Sciences and Humanities website.http://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vn) at the end of each week during the online application period.
From May 20, 2024Candidates can view their exam information (exam number, exam room, exam location, and exam room regulations) on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.http://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vnThe school did not send out exam notification letters.
2.5. Adjusting exam registration information:Before 5:00 PM on May 25, 2024

2.6. Examination subjects and format
- Specialized subjects for the entrance exam: Literature, History, Geography.
- Exam duration: 150 minutes per subject.
- Exam scoring scale: Exam scores are calculated on a 10-point scale and rounded to two decimal places.

The exam schedule may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
 2.9. Announcement of exam results
Before June 28, 2024: Announce the exam results and admission results for specialized classes on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
