Press release Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony for 2024-2025 academic year for VNU-USSH students

1.Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship is a scholarship project sponsored by Dao Minh Quang Foundation (Germany). The scholarship is awarded annually to students with especially difficult family circumstances, with excellent academic achievements, passion for scientific research, creative thinking; actively participating in community activities with a widespread impact, Youth Union - Association movements... In the 2024-2025 school year, the Fund will award 28 scholarships to 28 students in various training majors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, each scholarship worth 10,000,000 VND (Ten million VND).
Previously, in November 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and Dao Minh Quang Foundation signed a Framework Agreement on Cooperation and Funding, including cooperation in sponsoring awards and scholarships of Dao Minh Quang Foundation for students of the University and activities to systematically train Vietnamese youth to start and start businesses creatively and sustainably.

2.Dao Minh Quang Foundation is a charitable foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany, established by Dr. Dao Minh Quang in December 2016 in Berlin under the German Civil Code. Dao Minh Quang Foundation is officially recognized as an independent legal entity by the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection of the State of Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany. The Foundation only carries out public and charitable activities.
The objective of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation is to promote development cooperation activities between Vietnam and Germany, through 5 activities, especially in promoting General Education, Vocational Training and University Education, promoting Startup Projects and Sustainable Agriculture as well as Music and Culture. The Founder and Chairman of the Foundation is Dr. Dao Minh Quang. The Foundation Council consists of 4 members (see more inhttps://www.dao-stiftung.com/?lang=viand theAttached appendix).
Since its establishment, the Fund has supported and funded many projects in Germany and Vietnam. The Fund is also actively preparing to fund other projects in the near future. All projects have been, are being and will be funded and implemented entirely by its own financial resources from the Fund's capital donated by the Founder and from additional funding from Dr. Dao Minh Quang personally.
Over the years, in promoting general education, vocational training and university training, music and culture alone, the Dao Minh Quang Foundation has sponsored several billion Vietnamese Dong each year, mainly in the form of scholarships and awards to students with excellent academic achievements and those from disadvantaged families, to musical talents and to sponsor German-Vietnamese concert projects and programs, as well as cultural and musical exchange projects between Germany and Vietnam.
Up to now, the Scholarship and Awards Ceremony of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation has been held at many different schools and places, such as at the University of Natural Sciences (HUS), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), the International Francophone Institute (IFI) of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU),... In which, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU has become the focal unit in the Fund's sponsorship activities in Vietnam. The 2024-2025 school year is the 8th consecutive school year since the 2017-2018 school year that students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have received scholarships from the Dao Minh Quang Foundation.
Attending the “Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony” were the Foundation President, Dr. Dao Minh Quang, representative of the Foundation Council in Vietnam, Lawyer Nguyen Tien Lap; representatives of the Board of Directors and Heads of functional departments, students receiving scholarships and many students of the School.

3.Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony Program: includes the following main contents:

- 13:30 - 14:00: Welcoming delegates and organizing work
- 14:00 - 14:05: Statement of reasons, introduction of delegates
- 14.05 - 14.15: Opening speech by representative of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities
- 14.15 - 14.25: Speech by Fund representative: Dr. Dao Minh Quang
- 14:25 - 14:35: Announcement of Decision and award of scholarships to 28 students
- 14:35 – 14:40: Student representative receiving scholarship gives speech of gratitude
- 14:40 – 15:00: Dr. Dao Minh Quang interacts with students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities
