Announcement regarding the Dao Minh Quang Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Based on the Framework Agreement on Cooperation and Funding between the Dao Minh Quang Foundation (Federal Republic of Germany) and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi (Vietnam), signed on November 13, 2023, the University respectfully requests the Board of Directors of each unit to select students to receive scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year with the following details:

1. Selection criteria

- Mandatory criteria:
+ I am a full-time student;
Academic results for the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year: Excellent;
+ Training results for the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year: Excellent;
+ For first-year students: Being the top student in their chosen major;
+ Have not received any non-funded scholarships during the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Priority criteria:
+ Families in exceptionally difficult circumstances: orphaned (either parent deceased); parents ill and unable to work; female students are given priority.
+ Possesses a passion for scientific research and creative thinking;
+ Actively participate in community activities with a widespread impact, youth union and association movements, etc.

2. Number of candidates to be considered:

The entire university has 28 scholarship slots for 28 different training programs. Each department selects one student from each program to receive the scholarship.

3. Scholarship value: Each scholarship is worth VND 10,000,000 per student.

4. The scholarship application dossier includes:

- Declaration of personal information and achievements(following the template)
- A photocopy of documents proving exceptionally difficult circumstances.
- Photocopies of certificates of scientific research achievements, Youth Union/Association activities, and community support activities.
We kindly request that the leadership of each Faculty/Institute/Department widely publicize the scholarship program to students and proceed with the selection of one student per major. Student nomination dossiers should be arranged in order and submitted as a soft copy (PDF file only, not a hard copy) to the email address: bang@ussh.edu.vn. The deadline for submitting dossiers is 5:00 PM on November 8, 2024 (Friday). Any unit that fails to submit dossiers by this deadline will be considered ineligible for the Dao Minh Quang Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year.
