The Admissions Counseling Board of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) will answer questions from May 7th to May 23rd, 2012. Vo Thien Doan @ 09:49, May 8, 2012: Dear teachers, this year I am a 11th-grade student at Nguyen Hue High School in Hue City. Next year I want to apply to the Psychology department of the university, but I heard some teachers say that if I have a household registration in Hue, I can only take the exam in the South, not in Hanoi. Currently, I am very confused about this. I would appreciate it if you could clarify whether I am eligible to apply to the university. Thank you very much! Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentThe University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, recruits students nationwide, so all candidates wishing to study at the University can submit their application. If you have already submitted your application to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University will send you your exam notification at the end of this month through the Department of Education and Training, or you can also check the information directly on the University's website.Lan Nguyen @ 13:10, 08/05/2012: Dear teacher, I am a Tay ethnic minority from Bac Kan. I just saw on the school's website that there is direct admission for ethnic minorities from mountainous areas according to Official Document No. 1343/BGDĐT-KTKĐCLGD dated March 9th from the Ministry of Education and Training regarding "Guidelines for direct admission, priority consideration and admission to universities and colleges in 2012". But I graduated in 2009, so am I eligible to register for the admission? And if so, where can I buy the application form? Thank you! I look forward to receiving your answer! Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentYou are still eligible for admission to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities if you meet the university's admission requirements. You can find information about the regulations and application procedures at the following address:http://ussh.vnu.edu.vn/tuyen-thang-uu-tien-xet-tuyen-va-xet-tuyen-2012/5692 Hang Phan @ 12:16, 09/05/2012: Dear Professor, I graduated from Dong Nai College of Education in 2009 with a major in Office Management and Archiving. Currently, I and many of my classmates are interested in pursuing a university degree through a bridging program. Could you please tell me if your school offers a bridging program for this major? If so, when is it available? Or is it possible to transfer to other majors at the school? When will the entrance exam be held? Thank you. Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentPlease contact the Non-Formal Education Department of the University at the following phone number: 04.38583957 to find out more details.Do Tuyet Mai @ 18:16, 09/05/2012: I am an 11th-grade student at Van Ngoc Chinh High School. I want to apply to the Psychology program at the school, but I heard that they are currently not accepting applications from students in Group B. Is that true? And what is the current tuition fee per year? I would greatly appreciate your answers! Thank you! Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentThis year is the first year that the Psychology department at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has added Group B to its admissions process. If you were unable to submit your application due to misinformation, it's a real shame, as the application deadline has already passed. For the 2012-2013 academic year, the tuition fee for regular students, including Psychology students, is 420,000 VND per month. Good luck with your studies and success!thuy @ 12:05, 10/05/2012: Dear University, I would like to ask two questions. 1. My Bachelor's degree (from Phu Xuan University, Hue) states: "Bachelor: Sociology (Tourism Geography)". What does that mean? After researching at your university, I found that these are two different majors. 2. I would like to ask what kind of jobs I can do after graduating with a Master's degree in Sociology from your university? Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training Department1. You need to ask the university directly for accurate information about which university issued your bachelor's degree. 2. Generally, people who enroll in postgraduate programs do so to enhance their expertise and improve their current work. However, you can also explore career opportunities in Sociology at the following address:http://ussh.vnu.edu.vn/nganh-xa-hoi-hoc/1689 Nga @ 14:48, May 11, 2012: Hello teachers. I would like to ask when the results of the first round of the 2012 postgraduate entrance exam will be available. Will I receive my notification letter, and where can I check my specific scores? Wishing you all good health! Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentPlease check the results of the first round of postgraduate entrance exams in 2012 and other information at the following address:http://ussh.vnu.edu.vn/ket-qua-tuyen-sinh-sdh-dot-1-nam-2012/5950 Le Hong Phong @ 03:35, May 12, 2012: I would like to ask if I can use my last year's university entrance exam results, since I still have my acceptance letter from last year, which was for the Psychology major with a score of 19. However, due to attending a college transfer program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, I couldn't attend your university. This year, I have finished my studies at that university and want to pursue Psychology at your university. Last year, I requested a leave of absence, but the university refused, saying I had to complete one semester before I could defer my enrollment. Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentAs I understand it, you were admitted to the Psychology program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City last year. Therefore, you need to contact the Training Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City for clarification.Hieu @ 10:20, May 12, 2012: Dear Professors and Lecturers, I am a student at the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and I would like to pursue a second degree in Linguistics. Could you please tell me if your university offers a second degree in Linguistics? Or are there any other programs I could participate in to have the opportunity to study this specialization? Thank you. Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentCurrently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities does not offer a dual degree program in Linguistics.Ngoc Mai @ 12:51, May 15, 2012: Dear teachers, I am currently in 12th grade and this year I will be applying to the Journalism major at your university. Since this is my first year of university, I don't know what subjects are taught in each department. Therefore, I would like to ask if the Journalism major includes photography training in the curriculum, or if it has to be taken at the university's Center for Journalism and Communication Studies? I have researched that center and am very interested because it offers opportunities to practice and hone skills. I would like to ask if first-year students can register for courses there and when the short-term training courses start? Another question is: as far as I know, students can choose one of four foreign languages: English, French, Chinese, or Russian. If I want to study both English and French, is that possible, and if so, how do I do it? Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentTo learn more about the curriculum of the Journalism program, you can refer to the program's training program at the following address:http://dt.ussh.edu.vn/_tailieu/Chuong%20trinh%20dao%20tao/2009.%20Bao%20chi.A.%202577.docCurrently, journalism students all take practical courses at the University's Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Training. Short-term journalism courses are offered to students from other majors as well as journalism students. In the journalism program, students are required to study one of four foreign languages: English, Russian, French, or Chinese. If you wish to learn another language, you can register to audit that course with other students.Ngoc Mai @ 13:04, May 15, 2012: Dear teachers, this year I plan to take the Journalism entrance exam at your university and later want to study Tourism, specifically Hotel Management. From what I understand, students in the Tourism and Travel Management program are only divided into two specializations (Travel and Hotel Management) in their third year. So, if I want to pursue a second degree in Tourism with a focus on Hotel Management, how long will it take? Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentI want to pursue a second major in Tourism and Travel Service Management, specializing in Hotel Management, after enrolling in Journalism. After completing my first year, if I achieve an average or above-average academic performance and the university offers a dual degree program in Journalism and Tourism and Travel Service Management, I can register for it. It is expected that after graduating from Journalism (within 1-2 semesters), I can then graduate from Tourism and Travel Service Management.Lam Thi Thuy Trang @ 7:28 PM, May 20, 2012: Dear Professor, I graduated from the Hanoi University of Culture with a college degree in Library and Information Science. Currently, I and many of my classmates are interested in pursuing a university degree through a bridging program. Could you please tell me if your university offers a bridging program for this major? If so, when is it available? Or is it possible to transfer to another major at the university? Thank you. Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentCurrently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities does not have a transfer program for library science students. Transferring to other majors is obviously not possible. You could try contacting other universities that offer this major to find out more.Tu Quynh @ 08:11, May 22, 2012: Teachers, could you please tell me what the failing grade (the minimum passing score) is for the high school graduation exam and the university entrance exam? Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Training DepartmentAccording to the High School Graduation Exam Regulations and the University Admission Regulations, a failing grade is a grade of 0. Therefore, if you receive a grade of 0 in any of your exam subjects, even if your overall score meets the requirements, you will still fail the high school graduation exam or university entrance exam. Please feel free to ask further questions.HERE.
