BM Political Science: General Information

The Faculty of Political Science, formerly the Department of Political Science, was established in 1995 as a unit under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Its purpose was to meet the societal demand for highly trained human resources in Political Science – individuals capable of conducting political research and practice, and possessing the capacity to work in fields requiring a deep understanding of Political Science. From the 2005-2006 academic year, the Faculty began offering master's and doctoral programs in two specialties: Political Science and Ho Chi Minh Studies. From the 2008-2009 academic year, the Faculty began offering undergraduate programs in Political Science. In 2012, the first cohort of students from the Faculty (QH.2008-CTH) graduated.
