On March 19, 2013, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – received and worked with a delegation from the French Graduate School of Practical Studies, led by Professor Denis Pelletier, to discuss opportunities for future cooperation between the two universities.During the meeting, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) has had early cooperative relationships with universities in France, such as the University of Paris 7 and the University of Toulouse II – Le Mirail. Currently, USSH has four joint French-language training programs: Clinical Psychology, Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology, Organizational Management, and Hotel Management. The Rector expressed hope that in the future, USSH, VNU, and the French Graduate School of Practical Studies will have opportunities to cooperate in activities such as faculty and student exchanges, joint organization of seminars, and scientific research. Professor Denis Pelletier stated that the French Graduate School of Practical Studies highly values its cooperative relationship with Vietnamese universities. In particular, USSH shares many similarities in training and research with the French Graduate School of Practical Studies. Professor GS shared: Currently, the training programs of the French College of Practical Studies revolve around three main directions: training in social sciences and humanities, focusing on multidisciplinary fields, and focusing on earth sciences and life sciences. The school currently has approximately 2500 students and 600 postgraduate students. At the end of the meeting, the leaders of both schools affirmed that in the future, they will have specific exchanges to open up new avenues of cooperation in training and research.
