Closing Ceremony of the Korean Global Young Entrepreneurs Training Program

On May 31, 2019, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the Closing Ceremony for the 2019 Korean Global Young Entrepreneur Training Program.

The program was implemented according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both parties on December 30, 2017, as well as the Vietnamese Language Teaching Contract dated December 13, 2018, with funding from the Korean Government. Accordingly, 17 young Korean students came to study Vietnamese language and culture at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Korean students studied for two months at Howon University (Korea) and five months at the Vietnam Language and Culture Center. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities was responsible for developing ideas, building appropriate curriculum content, and organizing teaching according to the requirements and quality committed to the partner. At the end of the course, 9 out of the 17 Korean students found employment in Vietnam.

Professor Pham Quang Minh delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University) expressed his admiration for the Korean students' efforts in their studies. He noted that only with passion and enthusiasm for the language, culture, history, country, and people of Vietnam could they have successfully completed this course. He likened the students to cultural ambassadors of both countries. Regarding the CEO Global Research Group, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes to continue implementing and expanding new cooperation projects, building on the success of this first program.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Con delivered a speech at the ceremony.

On behalf of the Center for Vietnamese Language and Culture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Con (Director of the Center) extended congratulations to the Korean students, especially the 9 students who have found employment. The Center is committed to opening its doors to any students who wish to return to study and learn about Vietnamese language and culture. He also expressed gratitude to the managing institution, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the CEO Global Research Group for their close collaboration with the Center throughout the implementation of the Program.

Professor Kim Kwang Soo delivered a speech at the ceremony.

On behalf of the Global CEO Research Group, Professor Kim Kwang Soo (Director of the Global CEO Research Group) expressed optimism about the future careers of young Korean entrepreneurs. He also expressed confidence that, with their pioneering spirit and willingness to take risks, they will find many opportunities for career development in a country with such rich economic growth potential as Vietnam.

At the closing ceremony, Professor Kim Kwang Soo and Professor Pham Quang Minh presented certificates of completion to the Korean students.
