During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – a member of the Vietnam National University system – emphasizing the university's internationalization strategy. One of the university's international cooperation activities is the implementation of summer courses with the participation of both Vietnamese and international students, such as the 2019 Global Politics Course co-organized with the Free University of Berlin (Germany). The Rector hoped that the university could carry out similar activities with Langara College.

Professor Avram Agov highly appreciated the goodwill of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Based on the idea of Professor Pham Quang Minh, he proposed organizing summer courses on topics related to Vietnamese history, politics, economics, and culture, with the participation of students from both universities. In addition to classroom learning, the two universities could organize visits for students to businesses of various sizes in Vietnam. The goal is to create a model that combines business training with learning about the host countries in Southeast Asia and Asia in general, including Vietnam. Through this, a comparison can be made between Vietnam's business environment and that of other countries in the region.

In the coming period, representatives from both sides will have more detailed discussions about the specific program of the courses. This will be the first step for the two universities to move towards other activities such as faculty and research expert exchanges.

Langara College was established in 1964 as a public college within the Vancouver College System, later becoming an independent institution in 1994. Langara College welcomes over 21,000 students annually, including many international students from around the world. The college's programs are divided into five main fields: Arts, Business, Health, Humanities & Social Services, and Science & Technology.
