The 7th Congress of the School's Youth Union was a great success.

On March 9th and 10th, 2012, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully held its 7th Congress of Delegates (2012-2014 term).

The 7th Congress of the School's Youth Union was a great success.
On March 9th and 10th, 2012, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully held its 7th Congress of Delegates (2012-2014 term).Attending the congress were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc – Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University; Mr. Nguyen Van Thang – Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi City; Mr. Vu Nguyen Thuc – Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; representatives from the Hanoi City Youth Union; representatives from the Youth Unions of universities in Hanoi; former Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the University's Youth Union from previous terms; and representatives of outstanding Youth Union members in the University. The 7th Congress of the University's Youth Union aimed to evaluate the implementation of the resolutions of the 6th Congress for the 2009-2011 term, set forth directions for activities in the 2012-2014 term, and elect the new Executive Committee of the University's Youth Union. In the internal session held on the afternoon of March 9th, the Congress directly heard reports from the Executive Committee of the University's Youth Union for the 2009-2012 term: a summary report of activities and a review report of the Executive Committee of the 6th term. At the same time, the Congress also heard the operational guidelines and discussed and approved the plan for establishing the Executive Committee of the School Youth Union for the term 2012-2014.

At the official session on the morning of March 10th, the Congress heard the report summarizing the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the University during the 2009-2012 term. The report clearly stated that the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the University during the past term had achieved comprehensive results in all aspects of activities. The youth programs of the University during the past term were actively and effectively implemented, contributing to improving the quality of training, cultivating ethics, political ideology for Youth Union members and young people, participating in building and developing the University, and strengthening and developing the Youth Union organization. In 2011, the University's youth were honored to receive the flag of the Central Youth Union for achieving outstanding achievements in youth work for five consecutive years. The direction of the Youth Union's work and youth movement for the 2011-2014 term is with the action slogan: Courage – Creativity – Enthusiasm – Integration. Along with that, the main programs include: political and ideological education, moral and lifestyle orientation for union members; supporting the comprehensive development of union members; continuing to build a strong Youth Union organization, actively participating in Party work and development; diversifying cultural, sports, and arts activities and volunteering to contribute to the community. Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Vu Nguyen Thuc – Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi – highly appreciated the activities of the University's youth in the past term. At the same time, he also pointed out the tasks and challenges facing the Executive Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the new term in particular and the youth union members in general. On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh congratulated and commended the achievements of the Youth Union and the Student Association of the University in the past term. The Principal expressed confidence that the new term of the School Youth Union will continue to affirm and promote the traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, one of the important political and social organizations, a powerful arm and reliable reserve force of the Party in the School. The Principal also pointed out the basic tasks that the School Youth Union must focus on: - Strengthening education and fostering revolutionary ideals, aspirations, and dreams for successful learning and career development, contributing to the building of the school and the country; - Continuing to innovate the organizational model and operating methods of the Youth Union to suit the credit-based training method; - Paying attention to and planning the building of the Youth Union and Association cadres, especially at the branch and inter-branch levels; - The Youth Union organization, especially at the inter-branch and school levels, needs to proactively and regularly participate in contributing opinions to the building of the Party Committee. At the same time, it should focus on training and proactively recommending outstanding members for the Party branches to train and consider for Party membership.

The 7th Congress of the University's Youth Union Delegates concluded successfully with 100% of delegates voting in favor of the Draft Resolution of the Congress.
