On March 14, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a meeting to congratulate teachers who received the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Science and Technology in 2012. In the recent award ceremony, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) had the late Professor Tran Quoc Vuong and Professor Ha Minh Duc awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize; teachers Professor Doan Thien Thuat, Professor Nguyen Thien Giap, Associate Professor Nguyen Thua Hy were awarded the State Prize for Science and Technology.Attending the congratulatory meeting were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice President of VNU, former Rectors and Vice Rectors of the University through the periods, the University Board of Directors, veteran teachers, representatives of the families of professors who received the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize... The President wished the professors good health and continued great contributions to the cause of social sciences and humanities of the country. The President hoped that the professors would continue to pay attention and support the research and training work of the University in the coming time. Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice President of VNU congratulated the professors and thanked them for their contributions and achievements in cultivating and glorifying the tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son affirmed: The event of professors receiving the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize is an important event, an honor and pride of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.
