Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities visits the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic)

On June 1 and 2, 2016, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) visited the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. The Rector and Dr. Mirjam Friedová (Dean of the Faculty of Arts) signed the Training Cooperation Agreement between the two universities.

The agreement aims to contribute to the development of Vietnamese studies, strengthen the position of the Institute for Far Eastern Studies at the Faculty of Arts (with the desire to become the first institution to offer Vietnamese studies at master's and doctoral levels in the Czech Republic. It will also be one of the only institutions to offer Vietnamese studies among universities in Central Europe), promote cooperation within the framework of Asian studies in general (VNU has many cooperation projects with the United States, Japan or China), as well as expand the position of the Institute for Strategic Regional Studies at Charles University in Prague.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh also visited Carolinum Publishing House and was welcomed by the Vice Rector for External Relations (Charles University in Prague). In the future, the two sides will sign an agreement at the university level.
