On July 16, 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal - received and worked with Professor Bang Khanh Buu - Secretary of Guangxi Foreign Language Academy (China).At the meeting, Prof. Bang Khanh Buu said that Guangxi Foreign Languages ​​Academy was established in 2004, has more than 700 staff, more than 10,000 students, and trains 10 foreign languages. Every year, the Academy sends many students to study abroad, including Vietnam. Up to now, the Academy has sent more than 100 students to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to study Vietnamese. Prof. Bang Khanh Buu said that with its position and role as the leading center for training in Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam, with its long-standing tradition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a reliable partner to help train many high-quality courses of the Academy. He also suggested that in the coming time, it is necessary to promote the exchange of lecturers and students as well as the exchange of management experience between the two schools. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim thanked the Secretary of Guangxi Foreign Languages ​​Academy for his kind comments and provided some more information about the University: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities currently has 500 staff, trains 13,000 students and more than 3,000 postgraduate students, has 24 undergraduate training programs and 53 postgraduate training programs. Every year, the University welcomes from 700 to 900 international students to study. Many alumni of the University are senior leaders of the Party and State, leading experts in the fields of social sciences and humanities. In particular, the University has trained a team of experts on Vietnam studies for many foreign universities and research centers. Many Chinese ambassadors to Vietnam have studied here. Regarding the cooperative relationship between the two sides, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim said that there is still a lot of potential for development. In the future, the two sides need to have more specific exchanges to build a comprehensive cooperative relationship in many fields.
