Prospects for cooperation with the Regional Academy of Politics and Administration III

On July 24, 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector - along with representatives from various departments, received and worked with a delegation from the Academy of Politics and Administration Region III, led by Associate Professor Dr. Truong Minh Duc - Deputy Director of the Academy.The main focus of the meeting was to exchange experiences on training management and science and technology, while also exploring opportunities for future cooperation between the two institutions. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim stated that, in response to new development trends, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) has been transitioning to a credit-based training system since 2007. This is a difficult and complex task, but with high determination, the University has initially succeeded in building the basic foundations to support the operation of the new training method. From 2011 to the present, the University has been actively promoting solutions to deepen credit-based training, aiming for higher training quality and increased articulation between different levels and disciplines. In addition, in recent years, the University's postgraduate training system has made remarkable progress with over 3000 students, accounting for 40% of the undergraduate training scale. With a team of leading and experienced scientists, the School has been entrusted by Party and State agencies with many important political tasks in training management cadres and experts in the social sciences and humanities. Regarding the prospects for cooperation with the Regional Academy of Politics and Administration II, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim commented that there is great potential, especially in cooperating to organize postgraduate training in specialized fields that are strengths and common interests of both sides; organizing seminars on common scientific fields between the two sides… Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Minh Duc stated: The Regional Academy of Politics and Administration III was established in 1949 and has 250 staff members. The main task of the Academy is to train and cultivate key leadership and management cadres, and political theory scientists of the Party, State and political and social organizations at all levels. Over the years, the Academy has also consistently sought collaborative relationships with various other training institutions to diversify its training programs and serve different societal needs. At the end of the meeting, representatives from both institutions expressed strong agreement on the prospects for future cooperation between the two training facilities.
