On the morning of July 10, 2012, 3,862 candidates took the Geography exam – the final subject of the university entrance exam for Group C – at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' Admissions Board. This represents a decrease of 23 candidates compared to the History exam held the previous afternoon. On average, the number of candidates taking all three subjects reached 73.4% of the registered applicants.During the three exam sessions, 11 candidates were disciplined for violating exam regulations, including 10 who were suspended and 1 who received a reprimand.

According to Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu (Chairman of the University's Admissions Council), thanks to thorough and careful preparation, the university entrance examination at the University's Examination Board was conducted seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations. This year, although there were still some candidates who violated discipline, the number was not large. Regarding the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training allowing candidates to bring some audio and video recording devices into the examination room, the University's Admissions Council thoroughly disseminated this policy to each examination center and each invigilator, and had a unified plan for implementation from the beginning. At the end of the 2012 university entrance examination, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' Admissions Council successfully completed its assigned tasks.
