Download the English version here.Private archives are documents owned by individuals, families, clans, villages, associations, non-governmental organizations, and private enterprises (collectively referred to as non-state-owned documents). Besides their value to each individual and organization, many of these documents also hold special significance and value for the community, the nation, and humanity. In practice, alongside state-run archives, most countries have archives maintained by private organizations, associations, villages, and families (collectively referred to as private archives). Thanks to this, many valuable documents have been well preserved. However, for various reasons, this activity has not received sufficient attention in some countries, resulting in many limitations. Therefore, the issue is that research and surveys are needed to clarify the role, current status, and propose policies and measures for non-state archival activities, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the value of people's archival documents. Based on this understanding, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (Vietnam), is organizing an international scientific conference with the theme: “ORGANIZATION AND PROMOTION OF THE VALUE OF PEOPLE'S ARCHIVE DOCUMENTS”.
