Attending the Opening Ceremony of the new academic year, sharing in the joy with the teachers and students of the school were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu (Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), and leaders of departments, faculties/divisions. On the part of the Specialized High School, the entire Board of Directors, teachers, and 470 students from all three grade levels were present. In addition, representatives from the School's Parent-Teacher Association and all classes also attended and offered their congratulations.
In his welcoming remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal) emphasized: “This is a very special Opening Ceremony for the teachers and students of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities, because this academic year, the school welcomes 470 students from all three grades (10, 11, and 12), and this year will also see the first graduating class of high school students. Looking back at the past academic year and nearly three years since its establishment, overcoming numerous difficulties in all aspects, especially the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the teachers and students of the school have achieved many proud results in all areas of activity. To achieve these accomplishments, we would like to express our gratitude first and foremost to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; the leadership of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and its member units; the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, its training units, functional departments, and scientists; and the companionship and trust of all.” "Parents, especially the efforts and dedication of the entire team of teachers, staff, and students who have joined hands to build a dynamic, warm, friendly, compassionate, and humane environment for the school."
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hanoi National University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu (Vice Director) congratulated the school on its remarkable achievements in the 2021-2022 academic year. As the first and only school in the country to train high school students specializing in Social Sciences and Humanities, the establishment of the school contributes to perfecting the multi-disciplinary, multi-field, multi-level training model of the National University, fulfilling its pioneering mission in discovering and nurturing talent in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities for the country. Despite being a young school, the teachers and students of the Specialized School of Social Sciences and Humanities have achieved many commendable accomplishments in training knowledge, ethics, and a sense of responsibility to the community. The leaders of Hanoi National University are confident that, inheriting the ecosystem of a university with a long tradition, and with the efforts of all teachers, staff, and nearly 500 outstanding students, the Specialized High School for Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to achieve even more success in the new academic year.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) extended her congratulations to the Board of Directors, teachers, and all students, emphasizing that despite facing numerous difficulties during the past academic year, including the school's recent establishment, shortage of teachers, and especially the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, all staff, teachers, and students of the school made every effort to complete the academic year's tasks. Teachers and students of the school achieved many high awards in professional and talent competitions at all levels. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities will always accompany, share, and support in all aspects so that in the coming academic year, with even greater efforts from teachers and students, the Specialized High School will achieve even more success.
During the Opening Ceremony, the School Board also awarded certificates of merit and gifts to the top-scoring students in the 2022 entrance exam for 10th grade, as well as 11th and 12th grade students who achieved high rankings in cultural and talent competitions at all levels.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of nearly 500 students of the School, Nguyen Hoang Quynh Anh (Valedictorian of Literature Class 1, Batch 3) emotionally shared: “I am extremely honored and proud to represent nearly 500 students of the School in this very solemn moment. I am one of 183 students who passed the extremely rigorous entrance exam, overcoming more than 800 other students to officially wear the uniform with the HSSH logo, to study and live the most beautiful days of my student life at this dynamic, modern, friendly, compassionate, and humane school. I and 182 other students have fulfilled our dreams, and this is the first success, the foundation for us to continue striving to study and train to achieve new accomplishments, worthy of the tradition of the only Specialized School of Social Sciences and Humanities in the country.”
On the occasion of the Opening Ceremony, representatives from the School's Parent-Teacher Association and all classes presented numerous scholarships to the teachers and students of the Specialized High School. These meaningful gifts demonstrate the trust and support from parents, encouraging the teachers and students of the Specialized High School to strive for even greater achievements in the new school year!








The opening ceremony was both solemn and warm, yet also joyful, youthful, and vibrant with unique and spectacular artistic performances staged, practiced, and performed by the students themselves. Students at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities are not only academically excellent but also dynamic, modern, and possess many talents. As the students shared: At this school, they can pursue their passion for conquering the vast treasure of knowledge in the Social Sciences and Humanities, and also freely express their talents, strengths, and interests in many other fields: singing, dancing, MCing, media, sports, and more.
