The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the leading universities in Vietnam in training and research in the field of social sciences and humanities. Therefore, this cooperation will contribute to expanding and improving the foreign language skills of lecturers and students as well as opening up opportunities for scientific research, organizing international conferences and introducing study abroad opportunities to students in the university.
According to Ms. Huong: “The cooperation program helps students and lecturers of the school not only access the latest information about the UK education system but also brings many benefits to students when they have more experiences from the courses as well as preferential fees if they register to take the IELTS test at the school organized by the British Council”.
In addition, tests and assessments of English proficiency of lecturers and students according to international standards will be conducted regularly to assess the most objectively the participants' abilities. This new cooperation partly helps English lecturers have the opportunity to improve their language skills and at the same time improve and innovate in teaching methods to help students achieve international certificates that society needs.
Through the signing of the cooperation agreement, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the British Council have established a partnership to facilitate access for lecturers and students of the school to updated information sources, learning materials and opportunities to exchange teaching methods as well as provide special preferential policies when registering to take the IELTS test at the school.

Specifically, students and lecturers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will have an advantage when registering directly to take the exam at the school. In particular, registration for exam preparation will be discounted up to 20% for all study packages depending on the needs and abilities of each person from 0 to IELTS 7.5.
When achieving IELTS certificate, it will be like a passport for candidates to reach out to the international market, but on the contrary, it also requires learners to be very diligent and make efforts to be able to conquer it.

The leaders of both units hope to expand, spread and strongly develop the English proficiency of students and lecturers of the school. This will open up many opportunities for study, employment and future development for students when they receive IELTS certificates.
According to Ms. Ha, “This will be a long-term strategic development that is not only limited to IELTS exams but also opens up opportunities for all candidates inside and outside the school to access international language certificates in the future.”
It is known that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will coordinate with the British Council to organize the first official IELTS exam on September 10, 2022 at the school's headquarters at 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi. The deadline for registration is August 23. The school plans to organize it regularly once a month in the future so that candidates have more opportunities to test themselves on the path to conquering IELTS.
