  1. Staff members holding dual roles in units under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University, Hanoi are individuals who are not permanent staff members of the University, but meet the standards of the position they are invited to hold as part of the unit, according to the specific requirements of the unit and the regulations of the University.
  2. Staff members holding dual roles may be invited to serve as head or deputy head of a department (provided they are still of managerial age); head or deputy head of a subject area; director or deputy director of a center; or as a teaching staff member.
  3. Based on the recommendations of the heads of the units within the School, the consent of the invited staff member, and the agency where the staff member works, the Rector issues a decision to appoint the staff member to concurrently hold the position; the duration of the concurrent position is clearly stated in the Decision on Concurrent Position.
Article 2: Specific Regulations:2.1. Regarding age: - The maximum age for those invited to take on additional teaching duties is 70 years old. - In the case of retired staff, in addition to the official request from their unit, they must submit a voluntary application to participate in additional teaching duties. 2.2. Academic rank and degree: - Current staff must hold a Master's degree or higher. - Retired staff must hold the title of Professor or Associate Professor. - Special cases will be decided by the Rector. 2.3. Staff members holding additional teaching duties must directly participate in teaching and supervising student scientific research.Article 3: Forms of dual roles:3.1. Individuals holding concurrent positions with monthly remuneration are eligible for the following qualifications: - Possessing a PhD or the title of Professor or Associate Professor. - Teaching at least two subjects or four credits (equivalent to 60 academic hours) in one academic year, or teaching at least one subject while also holding a managerial position at the faculty or department level. 3.2. Individuals holding concurrent positions without monthly remuneration are eligible for all other individuals and staff members of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi.Article 4: Obligations and rights of part-time officials
  1. Officers holding multiple positions are responsible for performing specific tasks as agreed upon with the unit. If there are changes to their personal work that affect their additional duties, they must promptly notify the head of the unit where they hold the additional duties.
  2. Participate in teaching, scientific research, and professional activities of the department, faculty, center, and school; develop and compile textbooks and lectures; and perform other training tasks according to the unit's plan.
  3. Participate in managing students in the classroom, guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students in scientific research, writing theses and dissertations according to the plan of the department, faculty, and university.
  4. Based on their academic rank, degree, and the nature of their concurrent duties, individuals falling under the provisions of point 3.1 will receive a monthly remuneration for their concurrent duties from the School.
Article 5: Implementation:
  1. In July of each year, units review their staff holding dual roles according to the conditions and standards stipulated above, and based on the workload and activity plan of the unit for the new school year, they propose to the School to sign a decision inviting them to hold dual roles in the forms prescribed in Article 3.
  2. Officials invited to take on additional responsibilities for the first time must have a scientific resume and the approval of their employing agency.
  3. This document takes effect from the 2008-2009 school year.
During the implementation process, if any discrepancies arise, the units should submit a written report to the Rector for review and adjustment.
