This morning, October 19, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the Chung-Soo Scholarship Award Ceremony for students with excellent academic achievements, students who are union officials with good academic achievements, and students who have overcome difficulties to study.80 scholarships were awarded to 40 students of class 52 and 40 students of class 53 from different faculties. The value of each scholarship is 250 USD. Attending and awarding the scholarships were Mr. Park Suk Hwan (Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam), Mr. Paik Nak Whan (former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam), Mr. Choi Phillip (Chairman of the Chung-Soo Foundation). On behalf of the school's leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Principal of the school) expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador, Korean international educational cooperation organizations and the Chung Soo Scholarship Foundation for creating conditions and awarding scholarships to the school's students. At the same time, the Assoc. Prof. hopes to continue to receive the Fund's attention and support for the school's students. Mr. Park Suk Hwan hopes that the scholarship fund will contribute to supporting and creating conditions for students to study better. The Ambassador hopes that the students receiving the scholarship will make many contributions and be a bridge for the Vietnam - Korea relationship to develop more strongly and sustainably.

This is the fourth year that students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have received scholarships from the Chung-Soo Scholarship Fund. The Chung-Soo Scholarship Fund was established in 1962 with the aim of nurturing human resources to serve the socio-economic development of Korea. In recent years, the fund has begun to expand its support for human resource development in many countries around the world, especially developing countries, including Vietnam.
