The Ministry of Education and Training announced the enrollment of postgraduate training at foreign institutions using the State budget in 2010 (supplementary period).
1. Number of scholarships
Implementing the 2010 enrollment plan, the Ministry of Education and Training recruited 400 additional people to study for a doctorate and 50 people to do internships abroad using the State budget. Scholarships are prioritized for human resource development for universities, academies, colleges, research institutes and national key laboratories, high-tech centers and about 10% is reserved for officials of agencies, enterprises and socio-political organizations receiving salaries from the State budget.
2. School time
Candidates who are admitted and accepted by foreign institutions will be considered by the Ministry of Education and Training to study abroad according to the admission invitation and regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training within the period from the date of admission decision until December 31, 2011.
3. Candidates
3.1.Lecturers, staff on the payroll, long-term or short-term contracts with a total contract duration of 01 year or more, working at universities, colleges, research institutes, national key laboratories, high-tech centers, or administrative agencies, enterprises, political-social organizations receiving salaries from the State budget;
3.2.Graduates and undergraduates graduating in 2009-2010 with excellent academic results (8.0) and master's thesis/university graduation project defense scores of 8.0 or higher (on a 10-point scale), committed to returning to Vietnam to work as lecturers at universities and colleges as assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training after graduation. Excellent university graduates are only eligible to apply if they have a document from a foreign training institution agreeing to directly accept them for doctoral training.
4. Training industry
Priority fields for sending students for overseas training include: science and technology; social sciences; economics and management; arts; sports; medicine and pharmacy; agriculture; forestry and fisheries.
