Receive and work with delegation of Cuu Long University

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) briefly introduced the history of training and research of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading address for training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The University currently has 13,000 students of all systems, over 500 lecturers and civil servants and has international relations with over 200 universities worldwide. The Faculty of Literature of the University is one of the leading university institutions in the country in teaching and researching Vietnamese Literature from folk to modern, Han Nom, Literary Theory, Art Studies, Chinese Literature, etc. The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language of the University is one of the leading units in the country in teaching Vietnamese language and culture to foreigners with more than 45 years of tradition.

Working scene

On behalf of Cuu Long University, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung thanked the enthusiastic reception and expressed his desire to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung proposed the following two cooperation activities: 1) Implementing the training of postgraduate students in Vietnamese Literature, focusing on Southern Literature. In the immediate future, Cuu Long University will send 4 masters to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to study the postgraduate program in Literature. 2) Organizing training courses to train lecturers to teach Vietnamese to foreigners, in the immediate future training Vietnamese for Lao people in Vietnam. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung said that effective cooperation between the two universities will strengthen the exchange relationship between universities in the North and South of our country.

In response, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan pledged that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will create the best conditions to implement the above cooperation proposals. The Faculty of Literature and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language of the University will be the focal points to implement specific cooperation steps. The University's Training Department will support both sides in completing the necessary procedures regarding records and documents.

Cuu Long University is a private university in Vietnam in Vinh Long province. The school was established on January 5, 2000 and is the first private university (now converted to private) in the Mekong Delta. The school currently has 8 faculties and 15 different training majors, with a spacious and modern infrastructure system with an area of ​​over 22 hectares.
