During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) briefly introduced the history of training and research at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highlighting its status as a leading institution for social sciences and humanities education in Vietnam. The university currently has 13,000 students across all programs, over 500 faculty and staff members, and international relations with over 200 universities worldwide. The Faculty of Literature is one of the leading university institutions in the country for teaching and researching Vietnamese literature from folk to modern times, Sino-Vietnamese studies, literary theory, art studies, Chinese literature, etc. The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language is one of the leading units in the country for teaching Vietnamese language and culture to foreigners, with over 45 years of tradition.

On behalf of Cuu Long University, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and his desire to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung proposed two collaborative activities: 1) Implementing doctoral training in Vietnamese Literature, focusing on Southern Vietnamese literature. Initially, Cuu Long University will send four master's students to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to participate in the doctoral program in Literature. 2) Organizing training courses to develop a team of lecturers to teach Vietnamese to foreigners, starting with Vietnamese language training for Laotians in Vietnam. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung stated that effective cooperation between the two universities will strengthen the exchange relationship between universities in the North and South of Vietnam.
In response, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan pledged that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would create the best conditions to implement the aforementioned cooperation proposals. The Faculty of Literature and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language of the University will be the focal points for implementing specific cooperation steps. The University's Training Department will assist both sides in completing the necessary procedures regarding documents and paperwork.
