Seminar "Completing detailed course outlines in the Master of Social Work training program"

The seminar took place from August 19 to 30, 2008 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the participation of many leading Vietnamese experts on Social Work, some experts from the University of New South Wales Sydney (Australia) and UNICEF in Vietnam.

The seminar took place from August 19 to 30, 2008 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the participation of many leading Vietnamese experts on Social Work, some experts from the University of New South Wales Sydney (Australia) and UNICEF in Vietnam.

This is an activity in the development process of the Project to build a scientific major in Social Work in the period 2010-2015, first of all training masters and then training doctors in Social Work (CTXH).

In two discussion sessions on August 19, 2008, delegates were introduced to the orientation and process of building the master's program in social work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU; introduced to the framework of the master's program in social work as well as the basic conditions to ensure the training of master's programs in social work at the school. Next, a representative from the University of New South Wales Sydney also presented experiences in postgraduate training in social work in many countries around the world and Ms. Le Hong Loan, from UNICEF in Vietnam, gave a presentation on the role and contributions of UNICEF Vietnam to social work development projects in Vietnam.

From August 20 to 30, the seminar will be divided into group discussions to study and discuss in more detail the program framework and detailed outlines of the subjects. The closing session will take place on the morning of August 30, 2008 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.
