Attending the presentation were lecturers, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students from the Department of Sino-Vietnamese Studies (Faculty of Literature), the Department of Japanese Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies), and researchers from the Institute of Sino-Vietnamese Studies (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences).

The lesson provided students with valuable knowledge to help them better and more deeply understand the context of classical Japanese literature within the East Asian cultural sphere. In particular, Professor Yamabe Susumu devoted considerable time to presenting on...Chinese language training(Kanbun Kundoku) of Japan - a unique linguistic solution of ancient Japan: not a method of translating Chinese texts that deviates from the original, but rather a method of translation that closely follows each Chinese character, adhering to Japanese pronunciation and grammar. This also marks the first time a Japanese professor has come to Vietnam to teach Chinese reading instruction.

Professor Yamabe Susumu comes from21st Century Center for SinologyHe was a graduate of Nishigakusha University (Tokyo, Japan). He came to Vietnam at the invitation of the Department of Sino-Vietnamese Studies to give lectures, and initially established collaborative research and teaching relationships between the two sides.
