This is also the third French-Vietnamese conference on psychotherapy. Many psychologists, doctors, educators, consultants, cultural researchers, and social workers from many universities, research institutes, hospitals, and counseling centers in France and Vietnam participated in the conference.
As a science that studies deeply about human beings, psychology develops according to the movement of human cultures and civilizations, in which psychotherapy is one of the majors that applies theoretical knowledge of psychology and practical life to treat diseases of the times. If traditional treatment methods only treat pathological diseases, modern psychotherapy also cares about all unbalanced mental states of individuals, groups of people, communities and society. Therefore, psychotherapy in particular and psychology in general are ranked among the ten most developed professions in the world today.
In order to promote research in psychotherapy, this conference addresses the concept of culture and the impacts of cultural change on the ability to balance the mind of each individual. In addition, the conference also discusses ways to treat and support people in the process of facing and coping with these cultural changes. In particular, the conference focuses on analyzing and clarifying the cultural differences between the East and the West in the ways of caring for people's mental health.
