Seminar "Methods of story building and development in television works"

On the morning of March 28, at the TV Studio on the 5th floor of Building H, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a seminar with the topic "Methods of building and developing stories in television works". The program was organized by the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The talk took place in an intimate atmosphere with the participation of speaker Sonya Jampolsky; journalist Ta Bich Loan, Head of the Department of Radio and Television - Faculty of Journalism and Communication, along with lecturers and students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication.

Overview of the seminar

Ms. Sonya Jampolsky is a journalist for CBC Canada and Vice President of Ocean Entertainment. She has 10 years of experience as a screenwriter, director, and producer of films and television programs. She is a program designer for many television channels such as CBC, CTV, Life Network, Discovery Health, etc. In addition, Ms. Sonya also teaches at the film department of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Canada).

With the topic “Methods of building and developing stories in television works” to help students understand the methods to organize and build stories in television works effectively. Through practical examples, speaker Sonya discussed with students how to choose and use details in television. Besides, they discussed the role of television in the context of modern media.

The seminar is an opportunity for students to listen to the sharing of skills and practical experiences in organizing and producing television programs. This activity also contributes to connecting the training activities of the Faculty with foreign experts in the field of television to improve the quality and effectiveness of training, helping students have an effective learning environment.
