Becoming the Director of the Institute of Han Nom Studies at the young age of 35, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong, the youngest director in the history of the Institute of Han Nom Studies as well as any institute under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, is an influential figure in the academic community both domestically and internationally. He believes that Han Nom documents are not only "heritage" but also "property." Therefore, the cultural, social, academic, and economic value of Han Nom documents needs to be promoted in today's era.
