On March 26th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi organized the Job Fair 2023 and launched its online job portal for students. The event attracted coverage from numerous media outlets, including Nhan Dan Newspaper, Dai Bieu Nhan Dan Newspaper, and To Quoc Online Newspaper. The Editorial Board is pleased to present an article published in Nhan Dan Newspaper about this event!

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, along with representatives from businesses and sponsors, pressed the button to officially launch the USSH Student Job Portal.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Permanent Deputy Director of Hanoi National University, along with a large number of faculty members, students, and recruiters, attended the job fair.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, stated that for many years, the university has consistently committed to training high-quality human resources with strong skills, deep integration into the global community, and stable career prospects.
Every year, the school conducts a survey of graduates' employment status 12 months after graduation, showing that 92-93% of students find stable employment; the remainder continue their studies or expand into interdisciplinary fields. Graduates who enter the workforce are generally considered dynamic, flexible, and possess in-depth knowledge and diverse skills.
Many graduates find work in science and government administration, and a considerable number also succeed in entrepreneurship, working for well-known corporations and businesses.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always been aware of the importance of job opportunities for its students, and therefore, over the years, career guidance activities and job fairs for students have been regularly organized.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and former student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered a speech at the event.

Following the impact of the pandemic, in 2023, with the spirit of creating opportunities for students to connect with employers early, the school organized Job Fair 2023 in a more elaborate way with higher expectations, and it was truly rewarded when nearly 100 employers offered almost 1,000 job positions to the school's students.
In particular, with only a little over a month left until approximately 1,500 students graduate, Job Fair 2023 will provide the best opportunity for them to connect with employers, and for employers to directly recruit high-quality human resources from the university.
Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen, a third-year student at the Institute of Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities), shared that Job Fair 2023 is the biggest and most anticipated event for students. This is an opportunity for them to directly interact with recruiters, meet and network with CEOs and well-known businesses; finding a job that matches their skills and training is no longer a difficult problem. The fair also helps students gain practical experience in the future job market and impress recruiters…
Participating in the recruitment event, Ms. Do Thu Ha, Head of Administration and Human Resources at Transcosmos Vietnam Co., Ltd., and a former student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, stated that suitable personnel are the most valuable asset of any company. Therefore, the company aims for a work environment where employees are the central element.
Currently, the company is looking to recruit approximately 70 positions for a new project. Over the past years, 12 candidates who graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have demonstrated diligence, a proactive approach to learning, and a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, enabling them to quickly adapt to the company's evolving work environment.
In addition to recruitment, the company also collaborates with universities to send students for internships and provides soft skills training. At Job Fair 2023, the company expects to recruit final-year students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for positions that are currently in demand.
A panel discussion titled "Skills to impress recruiters" was held at the job fair.

Speaking and sharing his thoughts at the event, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that he was a former student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Nearly 40 years ago, students at the university were also very active and involved in many activities, but they didn't have job fairs like today before graduation. Back then, graduates had to search for and do various jobs before finding a stable, official job.
Therefore, the Job Fair 2023 of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with the participation of employers offering nearly a thousand job opportunities for students, is truly meaningful.
“There will certainly be many interviews and discussions today. I hope that nearly 1,000 job positions will find worthy candidates, and I am sure that in the future, job opportunities for students will expand even further,” Comrade Le Quoc Minh shared.
He also expressed his gratitude for returning to his beloved school and witnessing the care and attention from the school's leadership and employers, as well as the truly successful job fair, which will create even greater opportunities for the students…
