Comrade Dang Huong Giang (Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism) and Comrade Nguyen Duc Tien (Head of the Propaganda Department of Hanoi Youth Union) presented flowers to representatives of the historical site and volunteer hats and vests to the team leader of the Humanities team.
Continuing the tradition and upholding the pioneering and volunteer spirit of young people in participating in preserving, promoting, and publicizing the cultural and historical values of the Capital and the country, this year, the Youth of the Faculty of Humanities deployed 3 teams with a total of 50 students from various training departments of the University. These are the core members of the Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club.
The students participating in the activity are all disciplined, highly responsible individuals; they have foreign language communication skills and a passion for volunteering for the community.
Before each deployment, the university's students received training from the Hanoi Department of Tourism on highly practical topics such as: communication and interpersonal skills, work ethics, basic knowledge of historical sites and scenic spots, assigned areas of responsibility, and first aid for tourists in unexpected situations.

This year, the humanities team will be deployed to three popular tourist destinations attracting both domestic and international visitors: Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Cultural and Scientific Activities Center, and the Vietnam National History Museum.
At these locations, humanities students will conduct volunteer activities under the direct supervision of the Management Boards with specific tasks: Promoting the cultural and historical values of the relics; Assisting with tourism operations at relics and scenic spots; Assisting in guiding and receiving domestic and international tourists; Participating in tourism activities and events in the city...

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, emphasized, "This activity aims to promote the pioneering and volunteer spirit of young people in participating in, preserving, promoting, and publicizing the cultural and historical values of the Capital and the country to the people nationwide and international friends."
"When participating in activities, student volunteers need to enhance their sense of responsibility, be proactive in their work, and behave flexibly and skillfully during the volunteering process," Comrade Dang Huong Giang shared.
Comrade Giang also expressed his gratitude to the universities in Hanoi that sent students to participate, and to the management boards of the historical sites for their cooperation in receiving the volunteer students.

This is the second year that the program "Every Youth Union member is an active promoter of Hanoi tourism" has been organized. The "Supporting Thang Long - Hanoi Tourism" activity is one of the program's activities. This year, the "Supporting Thang Long - Hanoi Tourism" activity involves 200 students from the following universities: the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the Hanoi Open University; and the Metropolitan University. These student volunteers will be active from now until the end of December. |
