Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department; representatives from the faculties; and over 400 new students of the University.

In his opening remarks at the exchange event, Professor Nguyen Van Kim commended the initiative of the University's Student Affairs and Political Education Department in organizing this meaningful event, and also thanked the guests for taking the time to share their experiences with the first-year students.

These stories, stemming from real-life experiences, lessons learned, and the striving for success in their work, will be invaluable and beneficial, helping first-year students find the key to their own success.

Through alumni, the school's leadership also hopes to create connections with external organizations and institutions to increase job opportunities for students in the future.

In his speech, Professor Nguyen Van Kim also shared the results of the university's enrollment for the past academic year. After two months of studying at the Faculty of Humanities, the new students have quickly integrated, emulating their seniors, proactively studying and striving, and participating in many social activities.

Through this event, Professor Nguyen Van Kim hopes that students will have more opportunities and motivation; and that generations of alumni and first-year students will pass on to each other the spirit of enthusiasm, affection for the University, and the rich, humane, and compassionate traditions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

In the first part of the program, students listened to valuable experiences from three guest speakers: Nguyen Minh Duc, a former student of the 32nd cohort of the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University, currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper and a representative of the Hanoi People's Council, 15th term, 2016-2021; Nguyen Thu Huong, a former student of the 41st cohort of the Faculty of Journalism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, currently the General Director of Nam Huong Media Company; and Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, a former student of the 32nd cohort of the Faculty of History, Hanoi University, and Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department.

Following this exchange, former students Nguyen Minh Duc and Nguyen Thu Huong presented gifts to students from the flood-affected areas of Central Vietnam who are facing difficult circumstances but are always striving to excel in their studies.

In the second part of the exchange, first-year students had the opportunity to listen to and discuss with recent graduates who have already found careers pursuing their passions: former student Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, class of 50, Faculty of Management Science, currently a Human Resources Officer at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel; former student Le Ngoc Quy, class of 50, Faculty of Tourism Studies, currently the Event Organization Team Leader at Veba Group; and former student Nguyen Trong Huy, class of 53, Faculty of Journalism and Communication, currently a Senior MC at Xone FM - VOV3.
