Since its establishment, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has collaborated with numerous domestic and international organizations and individuals to develop and effectively implement scholarship programs to support VNU students. These include the Posco TJ Park Scholarship Fund from South Korea and the Posco Scholarship Program, aiming to encourage and motivate students to be enthusiastic in their studies, training, and scientific research.

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Tran Quoc Binh, Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department, emphasized: The effective implementation of the POSCO scholarship program over the past 19 years has not only contributed to providing financial support for outstanding students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi to facilitate their studies and scientific research, but has also gradually developed the cooperative relationship between the Posco TJ Park Foundation, Posco Group, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi in particular, and between the Vietnamese and Korean people in general. To date, 305 outstanding students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi have received valuable scholarships from the POSCO TJ Park Foundation.
The Head of the Student Affairs and Political Work Department congratulated the outstanding students representing the universities who received the valuable POSCO scholarships and expressed confidence that they will maintain their excellent academic and training achievements so that in the near future they will contribute their intellect to building the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and make important contributions to the development of the country and especially to the Vietnam-Korea relationship.

Representing the scholarship fund, Ms. Bang Mi-jeong, Secretary-General of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation, expressed her pleasure in awarding scholarships to outstanding students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi this year. Ms. Bang Mi-jeong stated that the POSCO scholarship program for universities in the Asian region is the first private overseas scholarship program in Korea. Since its inception in 2005, the program has supported approximately 5,500 scholarship recipients from 16 countries.
Posco is proud of its partnership with Vietnam National University, Hanoi – the best university in Vietnam, which has trained many leaders and made significant contributions to Vietnam's development. She hopes that the outstanding scholarship recipients will become future global leaders contributing to creating a better world.

Mr. An Sung Gu, Deputy General Director of Posco Vietnam, shared the difficulties in the selection process to find suitable students for the TJPark Foundation scholarship, as all the students from Vietnam National University, Hanoi are excellent and worthy of the title of a leading university in Vietnam and the region.

He said that he had witnessed many generations of students, after graduating, continue their studies for master's and doctoral degrees in South Korea, then return to Vietnam and take on key positions in government agencies, or hold leadership roles in domestic and foreign businesses, or become professors, doctors, leading scientists, etc., making enormous contributions to Vietnam's remarkable development. He urged the students to always strive, work hard, and be diligent... to contribute to creating a strong Vietnam in the future.

Representing the 10 outstanding scholarship recipients, Doan Thi Hong Ngoc, a third-year student majoring in Management Information Systems at the International School, VNU Hanoi, shared her joy and expressed her gratitude to VNU Hanoi and the POSCO Scholarship Fund. Hong Ngoc said: “The POSCO scholarship is a significant milestone in my academic journey, marking my continuous efforts and affirming my belief in the path I am pursuing. It also helps me understand my responsibility to strive even harder, not only for myself but also for the sustainable development of the community.”

The POSCO scholarship not only provides material support but also motivates students to strive harder in their studies, helping them strengthen their belief in their chosen path and become useful members of society. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is honored to have two students awarded the scholarship: Le Thi Nhu Huong, a third-year student in Journalism (Institute of Journalism and Communication Training), and Vu Van Oanh, a third-year student in Tourism and Travel Service Management (Faculty of Tourism Studies).

Unable to hide her happiness, Le Thi Nhu Huong, a journalism student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, shared her pride in her university. She noted that the university has collaborated with many large organizations and corporations to create numerous scholarship policies, motivating and supporting students. Nhu Huong shared that to receive such a meaningful scholarship, students must make significant efforts throughout their studies and training, and especially participate in many scientific research and experiential activities to hone their necessary skills. Only then can students meet the requirements of businesses.
