Tuesday - May 19, 2015 02:29
On May 9th, 2015, a workshop on teamwork skills, organized by the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, took place on the 8th floor of building E. The workshop aimed to improve teamwork abilities and create a close, practical environment for interaction and learning among students.

The exchange session was attended by two guest speakers: Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy, M.Sc. - Lecturer in the Faculty of Tourism Studies - Director of the Science and Tourism Services Company Limited, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Mr. Vo Van Hai - Former Head of Admissions, FPT University; Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan - President of the Student Union of the University, along with students from various faculties.

The speaker presented on the role and forms of teamwork, the requirements for each position within a team, and guidance on working methods. This provided students with useful skills in teamwork. To inspire students from the very beginning, speaker Nguyen Thu Thuy invited a group of three members onto the stage to perform the tasks she and the other students had assigned. From there, she pointed out the mistakes the group members made and led into a lively presentation on teamwork skills. For nearly an hour, she organized a theoretical framework with practical examples to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of teamwork: group organization, the role of teamwork, and its impact. Simultaneously, all students in the auditorium participated in games and exercises applying the theory she had previously conveyed. The auditorium was divided into four groups, with each round involving a competition between two teams. The diverse games sparked excitement and creativity among the students. Humorous yet intense situations heated up the auditorium. After the games, the students found answers to questions about how to effectively plan and organize teamwork.

An hour later, speaker Vo Van Hai enthusiastically shared his insights on teamwork skills, not only in the school context but also in the broader societal context, at large corporations and businesses. He introduced keywords to begin each of his points. Issues such as effective group formation, member selection, and appropriate behavior within teams were thoroughly analyzed and discussed. The students listened attentively, took notes, and asked questions. What sparked the most curiosity and interest among the students were the real-life scenarios of teamwork in large companies and businesses, as well as how to overcome difficulties in teamwork under specific circumstances and conditions. The speaker answered students' questions and offered advice for each specific situation.

The skills class received positive feedback from the students.
