At the meeting, Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector) provided information about USSH's teaching of majors relating to Asia as a whole and Iran in particular. He also emphasized the leading position of the University in this area.

Mr. Sayed Kamal and Prof.Dr Shahriyar Shojaeipour gave a brief introduction of higher education of Iran and some achievements this country gained in education and science in recent years. Iran is currently the 7th most advanced power in the world in Nano technology, and the 2nd country in using Nano technology to treat cancer as a result of its 10 -year research, etc...
By exchanging information, the two sides confirmed the cooperation potential and the great efforts made by the University and the Vietnam-Iran Friendship Association in particular and with Iranian partners in general, especially in science and education.
Mr. Sayed Kamal Sajadi is the former Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam from 1995 to 1999, and is currently teaching Sociology at Tehran University; he has also published several papers on Vietnam and translated the Story of Kieu into Persian. Prof.Dr Shahriyar Shojaeipour is a leading professor in Iran specializing in Islamic History of Civilization and Ideology, and has delivered lecturers in many countries in the world. He is currenly working at the Al – Musfata International University at Qom, Iran.

Continuing the teaching of Persian Language and Civilization since 2012 by Iranian and Vietnamese professors, USSH held the Iranian Cultural Week to introduce Iran and Iranian culture and people from February 21st to 31st, 2014. Students from USSH's Faculty of Oriental Studies participated in a series of lecture titled "Recent trends of Islam in the context of globalization" from March 19th to 30th taught by the two Professors. These are the connected research and teaching activities that have become frequent between the Faculty and its Iranian partners, contributing to deepening their cooperation.
