From August 3rd to 10th, 33 students of USSH's Division of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies traveled to Hoi An to attend an exchange program with students of Department of Japanese Studies at National University of Singapore and students of Department of Vietnamese Studies at Phan Chau Trinh University. This was part of a five-year exchange project for Japanese Studies students from Southeast Asia countries, which was sponsored by Toshiba Foundation. The attendees got 10 days of great experiences in Hoi An and Da Nang.

On 12 August 2015, The University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Thanh Xuan. Attending the signing ceremony on behalf of the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Rector), together with representatives of the Office of Planning and Finance, Office for General Administration, Office for Politics and Student Affairs, Office for International Training and Programs and Office for Postgraduate Affairs; and on the BIDV side there were Ms. Do Thi Thanh Huyen (Director of BIDV Department for Product Development) and Mr. Lai Tien Quan (Director of BIDV Thanh Xuan)

On August 20th 2015, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University held a seminar titled “Essential solutions for external communication of Hanoi until 2020”. This was the second seminar of a project at city level led by Assoc.Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector). Participating in the seminar was Mr. Phan Dang Long (Vice Director of the Propaganda Committee of Hanoi) and many experts and managers working at diplomatic, cultural and media agencies of Hanoi.

On August 18th and 20th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successively kicked off the basic Japanese language courses (Basic 1) in Thue Thien Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam provinces. These courses belonged to a training program carried out by the University under the instruction of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT). Along with USSH's Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Tourism and Scientific Services Company Limited was in charge of these courses.
