On March 19th, 2019, Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Kim (USSH's Vice Rector) and representatives of the Institute of Policy and Management (IPAM) had a work meeting with Mr. Philip Degenhardt (Director of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Southeast Asia Office).

At the meeting, Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Kim expressed his thanks and appreciation for the chances of cooperation given to USSH by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung since 2001. As the direct unit that implements the Stiftung's projects, IPAM (formerly the Center of Policy Studies and Analysis) has actively conducted the assigned projects, helping open up USSH's new academic and training venues in the fields of policy and management, and science and education.

Discussing with the Director, Assoc.Prof.Dr Dao Thanh Truong (Director of IPAM) hoped in the near future the Stiftung would continue to cooperate with the Institute to implement inter-disciplinary research projects based on the economic-ecological-social transition, joint-training activities with German experts and activities related to social policy consulting in Vietnam today. Also in 2019, IPAM will continue to publish its studies based on the agreement signed with Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung.

Also during the visit, Mr. Philip Degenhardt and Assoc.Prof.Dr Dao Thanh Truong signed two memoranda of understanding for the year 2019. Mr. Philip said: "These are the first agreements signed between the Stiftung and its partners in Southeast Asia. We believe in the development of long-term and sustainable cooperation with IPAM in the future, especially regarding of policy and management affairs".  The Stiftung's delegation also visited USSH's Museum of Anthropology to understand more about its research and training affairs.
