The Research Center for Contemporary Religions

The Center for Contemporary Religions at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities-Hanoi was established by the Decree No. 2265 QD/XHNV-TC of the University’s Rector on September 17th, 2007. The Center is designed to provide training assistance and researches on religion issues in service of national socio-economic development and international integration.

The Center’s Missions

- Conducting researches and projects in collaboration with domestic and international partners on religion studies in the basic and applied directions and on religions in Vietnam in the era of renovation in particular.

- Collaborating with other training and research organizations, institutes in the field; providing training courses on religions and policy on religions to meet social demands and to serve national socio-political development.

- The Center has cooperative relations with many domestic and international partners in training and researches in order to fulfill its missions.

The Center’s Structure

The organizational structure of the Center follows the State and University’s regulations. The Center is under the leadership and supervision of the University.

Due to practical and theoretical needs of religious studies in Vietnam and in the world, the Center is now expanding its collaborative relations with organizations, institutions, individual scholars in order to advance its activities.
