- This dissertation contributes to clarifying the state of research on the Russian Federation's policy towards ASEAN during the period from 2000 to 2014 from both domestic and foreign authors. Through these works, readers can understand how issues related to Russia's foreign policy towards ASEAN were formed during the research period, what prominent issues were addressed and resolved.

- The dissertation clarifies the theoretical and practical basis of the Russian Federation's policy towards ASEAN during the period 2000-2014, including theoretical issues of policy, and the theoretical and practical foundations leading to the formation of the policy.

- The thesis analyzes the content and implementation of the Russian Federation's policies towards ASEAN during the research period, including general policies and policies in specific areas (political security, defense, economy, science and technology, education, tourism, etc.).

- The thesis provides an assessment of policies and their implementation, highlighting achievements and shortcomings, as well as the causes of those limitations.
