2. Research methods used
Based on the dialectical materialism and historical materialism methodology of Marxism-Leninism, the author selects specialized and interdisciplinary methods from the social sciences and humanities to address each aspect of the dissertation.

Building the Party's morality includes establishing ethical standards for cadres and Party members, such as cultivating qualities like absolute loyalty, unwavering commitment to revolutionary ideals, placing the interests of the Party, the country, and the people above all else; being diligent, thrifty, honest, upright, and selfless; being humane, righteous, intelligent, courageous, and incorruptible; wholeheartedly loving humanity; and building the fortitude to resist individualism. Building the morality of the Party organization is reflected in building ethical principles in the Party's mission and objectives, in its theoretical foundation, in its guidelines, and in the close relationship between the Party and the people. The subjects and systems of solutions for building the Party on ethics, in Ho Chi Minh's conception, are the Party committees at all levels, the heads of Party organizations; all cadres and Party members; the State, the Front and mass organizations; and the people. His thought on building the Party on ethics has profound theoretical and practical significance.
In recent times, the building of the Party on ethics according to Ho Chi Minh's thought has achieved initial results. The Party has issued many policies and guidelines on building the Party on ethics; it has actively organized and implemented them, and has initially achieved positive results, creating positive changes in the ethics of cadres and Party members. This is the result of the widespread influence of Ho Chi Minh's thought and moral example within the Party and in society, the effectiveness of information and propaganda work; and the strengthened inspection and supervision work of the Party... However, due to many objective and subjective factors, the actual state of ethics of cadres, Party members, and Party organizations still has many limitations and weaknesses. The reasons are that for a long time, the Party has not paid enough attention to ethical education; political theory work has been ineffective; cadres and Party members lack awareness of self-cultivation and training; and there are limitations in implementing Directive 05-CT/TW. The negative impacts of the market mechanism... This raises issues that require us to apply Ho Chi Minh's thought in order to effectively carry out the work of building the Party in terms of morality.
In the coming period, the direction of Party building work on ethics must be closely linked to the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style; there must be unity throughout the Party, especially among the leaders; and it must be linked to the roles, functions, and tasks of organizations within the political system and the people. Applying Ho Chi Minh's thought, we must implement a system of solutions encompassing internal and external factors, objective and subjective factors. This shows that the responsibility for building the Party on ethics is a shared task of the entire Party; each cadre and Party member; the State, the Front, and political and social organizations; and the people. Thoroughly understanding and applying President Ho Chi Minh's thought to building a clean, strong Party capable of leading the people and the entire nation to achieve great victories is a crucial condition for building and developing the country.
