- Summarize the advantages, limitations, and causes of the implementation of policies and guidelines on attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

- Drawing on some experiences regarding the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in attracting foreign direct investment from 1996 to 2015.

11. Practical applications:

Upon completion, this dissertation can serve as a resource for research on the history of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in general. Simultaneously, it can be used as a reference for other research works related to this field.

The Communist Party of Vietnam led the effort to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) during the Doi Moi (Renovation) period.
