- Dissertation:"The Value of Catholic Marriage and Family in Vietnam Today"The research was conducted based on the theoretical foundations of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the views of the Communist Party of Vietnam on marriage, family, and religion in general, and Catholicism in particular.
- The thesis clarifies the fundamental values of marriage and family for Vietnamese Catholics. In marriage, these values include fidelity, free and voluntary union; the sacredness of marriage; and marriage for human development… In the family, these values include stability and strong bonds between members; respect for life; and a medium for transmitting cultural, moral, and religious values… Based on the study of these values, the thesis proposes several solutions to promote the values of Catholic marriage and family in accordance with Vietnamese ethics and law.
11. Practical applications:
The research findings of this thesis contribute to clarifying the value of Catholicism in the field of marriage and family, thereby helping policymakers to formulate appropriate viewpoints and policies to build national unity and promote the role of Catholic families in Vietnam today.
12. Future research directions:
Compared to other religions present in Vietnam, scientific research on Catholicism is still quite limited, leaving many issues unanswered. The author hopes that this thesis will serve as a starting point, a foundation for deeper and broader research on the value of Catholicism to the lives of people and Vietnamese society today.

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- The thesis“The value of Catholic marriage and family in Vietnam at present”is implemented based on Marxist-Leninist Doctrine, Ho Chi Minh's thought and the Communist Party of Vietnam's viewpoint on marriage, family as well as religion in general and Catholicism in particular.
- The thesis illuminates the fundamental values of marriage and family of Vietnamese Catholic. In terms of marriage, they are faithfulness, freedom and willingness of marriage; sacramental marriage and marriage for human development etc. In family, they are the solidity and close relationships of the members; the respectness of life and the environment for transmitting the value of culture, morality and religion etc. On the basis of researching these values, the thesis recommends some solutions to uphold Catholic values of family and marriage appropriate for morality and laws in Vietnam.
12. Practical applicability
The research result of the thesis can serve as a basis to clarify the role of Catholicism in terms of family and marriage, from which policy-markers can fomulate suitable policies on building national unification and maintaining the role of Catholic family in Vietnam.
13. Further research directions:
The number of research works on Catholicism is relatively limited in Vietnam compared to other religions. Hopefully, the thesis can be the beginning and basis for further researches on the role of Catholicism in Vietnam society.
