- To clarify the process of penetration and operation of the British East India Company in comparison with Western maritime powers (Netherlands, France) in the Kingdom of Siam in the 17th century.
- To clarify the reasons for the failure of the British East India Company in its commercial operations in the Kingdom of Siam in the 17th century.

- The research results of this dissertation clarify the history of the British East India Company's operations in the Kingdom of Siam in the 17th century, from the establishment of official relations to the decision to close the trading post and leave. It clarifies the characteristics of the British East India Company's operations in Siam in the 17th century in comparison with other Western powers such as the Netherlands and France.
