11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
The thesis systematized the theoretical basis of digitization and the organization of exploitation and use of digitized archival documents to meet the requirements of the development of digital humanities; assessed the current state of activities related to digitization and the organization of exploitation and use of digitized archival documents at historical archives to meet the requirements of the development of digital humanities in Vietnam; and proposed solutions for digitization and the organization of exploitation and use of digitized archival documents at historical archives to meet the requirements of the development of digital humanities in Vietnam.
12. Practical applications:
The research findings of this dissertation can be applied to improve digitization activities and the organization and use of digitized archival documents. Historical archives can develop digital humanities projects to promote the value of archival documents to society.
13. Future research directions
Further research directions include: in-depth issues such as copyright, security, risks, user service development, etc.; research on building NVS projects applicable to historical archives based on subject or document type; research on organizing the exploitation and use of electronic archival documents from the perspective of document lifecycle management. Specifically, the requirements for managing electronic archival documents generated from the written stage (born-digital) that will be collected into historical archives in the future, and the requirements for an Electronic Archival Document Management System.

The further research directions include: specific issues such as copyright, security, risk, user service, etc; implementing digital Humanities projects applied in the Archives. These projects can be studied at a general or specific level for thematic archival documents or for types of documents; providing access to e-archival records from the perspective of life-cycle management of e-records. specifically, the requirements of e-records management produced from the birth-digital stage will be collected into the Historical Archives in the future, the requirements for the e-archival records Management System.
