10. Summary of new results of the thesis:

Firstly, the survey results show that English economic and trade terms can be words or phrases. Of which, the number of terms that are words accounts for 24.26%; the number of terms that are phrases accounts for 75.74%. English economic and trade terms that are nouns/noun phrases account for the highest proportion (72.76%), followed by verbs/verbs account for 21.26%, and finally adjectives/adjectives account for 0.31%.

Second, English economic and commercial terms are mainly composed of 1 to 5 elements. The type with one element includes terms that are single words, derivatives and compound words; the type with 2 or more elements can be nouns, verbs, adjectives. Each type is quantified by the thesis with specific data.

Third, based on the analysis of the distribution table of English and Vietnamese economic and commercial terms according to the number of constituent elements, the thesis compared the structural models and constituent elements of the two terminology systems of English and Vietnamese. In Vietnamese, there are terms (although few) consisting of up to 6 or 7 elements; while in English, there are only 5 elements at most. For terms with 2 or more constituent elements, English has 9 models, Vietnamese has 10 models. The popular models focus on the group of terms with 2, 3 and 4 elements (8/19 models) and these are also the models with the largest number of terms (accounting for a high proportion).

Fourth, the thesis has pointed out 6 semantic content categories (including 5 categories with the number of terms accounting for 92.28%) as well as described 16 identification models in these categories.

Fifth, the survey results show an overall picture of the current situation of translating economic and trade terms from English to Vietnamese, from which the standardization theory is applied to propose ways to correct some Vietnamese economic and trade terms that do not meet requirements.

12. Practical applicability: The survey results of the thesis contribute to the compilation and construction of specialized dictionaries, and editing of teaching materials to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning English in economics and trade.

13. Further studies:

The thesis only limits the scope of research on English and Vietnamese economic and trade terms currently used in specialized dictionaries. Therefore, surveying and analyzing English and Vietnamese economic and trade terms in economic and trade contracts, in economic and trade news, or studying the structural characteristics of Vietnamese economic and trade terms... will be our next studies after this thesis.

10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

Firstly, the result of the research shows that the English commercial economic terms are words (24.26%) or phrases (75.74%). Besides, they are also mostly nouns/ noun phrases (72.76%); verbs/ verbs phrases (21.26%); and adjectives/phrases adjective (0.31%).

Secondly, the English commercial economic terms consist of mostly from one to five constituents. The single constitute is single word, derivational word or composite word. The two or more constituents are parts of speech, such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Each of them is quantified by specific data.

Thirdly, the table of distribution on English and Vietnamese commercial economic terms shows that there are from six to seven constituents in Vietnamese, meanwhile in English is only five. For these terms with two or more constituents, there are nine models in English, and ten models in Vietnamese. The groups consisting of two, three or four constituents have many more models than other groups with eight over nineteen models. Moreover, these models have the highest numbers of terms.

Fourthly, for classification about identifying characteristics, there are six semantic categories (five categories with terms of 92.28%), as well as there are sixteen models in each of them.

Fifthly, the results of the research show that there is an overall background of the translation equivalence and equivalence in English and Vietnamese commercial economic terminology. The result also shows that there are some approaches to correct the number of incorrect Vietnamese commercial economic terms throughout the standardization of language theory

11. Practical applicability:

The findings will help with the compilation of dictionaries for specific purposes as well as the correction of teaching materials to enhance teaching and learning English commercial economics.

12. Further research directions:

Our further research directions will likely be to involve the survey and analysis of English and Vietnamese commercial economic terms in commercial economic contracts as well as the commercial economic news or studies on formation features of Vietnamese commercial economic terms.
