10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
This dissertation is the first study on the equivalent translation of Vietnamese criminal science terminology into English. The dissertation clearly defines the concept of criminal science terminology, proposes criteria for identification, and compiles 1456 criminal science terms in Vietnamese. The dissertation surveys these 1456 terms in terms of their formation methods, origins, structural characteristics, and naming characteristics. It also examines the methods of translating equivalent Vietnamese criminal science terminology into English and the translation equivalents of Vietnamese criminal science terminology in English. Based on the survey results, the dissertation offers several suggestions regarding the selection, use, and standardization of Vietnamese criminal science terminology and methods for translating Vietnamese criminal science terminology into English.

- The research findings of this thesis will serve as a resource for teaching and learning specialized English at People's Public Security schools.

10. Summary of new findings of the thesis:
The thesis is the first study of equivalence translations of Vietnamese - English criminal science terms. The thesis has introduced clearly the concept of criminal science terms, proposed identification criteria and gathered 1456 Vietnamese criminal science terms. The thesis has conducted a survey of 1456 Vietnamese criminal science terms on aspects of formation methods, the origins, structural characteristics, denominational characteristics. The thesis has also conducted surveys of translation equivalences of criminal science terms from Vietnamese to English and equivalence translation procedures of these terms in English. Based on the survey results, the thesis has made some suggestions on choosing, using, standardizing the Vietnamese criminal science terms and the way to translate them into English.
11. Practical applicability:
- The research results of the thesis will be the document for teaching and learning English for special purposes (ESP) at schools of Ministry of Public Security.
- The thesis is also the useful material for proceeding to the compilation of a Vietnamese - English dictionary of criminal science terms in the future.
