Firstly, this thesis contributes to affirming the importance of applying narrative theory to understanding phenomena in Vietnamese novels with postmodern elements.
Secondly, the thesis provides a systematic view of the narrator, a crucial element of narratology. This is also the thesis's fundamental contribution to systematizing theories of the narrator and exploring the role of the narrator in Vietnamese novels with postmodern elements.
Finally, the thesis affirms the role of creative individuality in innovating the novel on the level of narrative art, thereby identifying the diverse achievements of Vietnamese literature with postmodern elements.
