Applying narrative theory in researching To Hoai's writings:

- From the application of theories of narratology, especially in terms of the art of organizing plots and constructing work structures (perspective of classical narratology), and the issue of narrative viewpoint, narrative style, cultural perception, delving deeper into the expression method and aesthetic characteristics of the narrative genre (perspective of post-classical narratology), the thesis affirms the contributions of writer To Hoai to modern Vietnamese prose.

- Through the generalizations and research, it can be seen that To Hoai's stories show the complex transformation of many "narrative roles" with many creations in "narrative art", forming diversity in literary style.
