10. Summary of the results of the thesis:

Adolescent depression is one of the common disorders, occurring between the ages of 12-18, especially during puberty. Adolescent depression can be triggered by an event or by the psychological stage of the child. It occurs in a certain period, which can last a year or longer. Adolescent depression has some differences from the typical manifestations of depression in general, such as agitation, irritability, the child may have a sad mood but sometimes gets angry and easily angered. In the case study of the thesis, the psychologist used cognitive-behavioral therapy combined with relaxation therapy to intervene. The treatment phase lasted for 8 months and was divided into 2 phases. The client was 17 years old but had typical manifestations of adolescent depression lasting from the age of 14 to 17 years old. Peer relationships, academic performance and family relationships affected the client's progress.

The results of the study show that family and school have a close relationship to the psychological and emotional changes of the client. Cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive restructuring and relaxation are effective in treating adolescent depression. Collaboration with family in therapy is necessary in the treatment of depression.

11. Practical application:

With the results obtained from the theoretical and practical research process on a clinical case, the thesis presented an overview of a clinical case related to the application of psychological therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive restructuring, and relaxation to support clients in reducing depressive symptoms. From there, it is shown that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive restructuring, and relaxation can be applied in the treatment of depression in adolescents. However, each clinical case has its own characteristics, it is necessary to base on the client's situation to plan appropriate treatment. Emphasizing the role of the family, the therapeutic relationship, and the therapist's therapeutic techniques on the effectiveness of intervention and treatment of depression in adolescents.

From there, it is possible to apply cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive restructuring, and relaxation in the treatment of depression in adolescents. However, each clinical case has its own unique characteristics, which need to be based on the client's situation to plan appropriate treatment. Emphasis on the role of the family, the therapeutic relationship and Psychotherapist's technique to the effectiveness of intervention and treatment of depression in adolescents.
